Sophia now can sit up by herself. Just a few days ago, she had to support herself by her hands. Now she can sometimes let go her hands. When that first happened, I was cooking in the kitchen and heard her making loud noises. So I checked her out and found that her hands were up and down, sometimes supporting her body sometimes not. She seemed very happy to be able to do so.
It's very fascinating to study the growth of a baby. I find that Sophia has been always trying to do something more. Two or three months ago, she learned to flip her body over, instead of just lying on her back. And then she tried to push up higher and higher. And then she tried to sit up.
Now she can sit up. She can also crawl a little bit, not very efficiently though. I guess the next would be to stand up and to walk.
I wonder, is this kind of ability of learing and trying an instinct or is there something elso that stimulates her to do so? I wonder.
Anyway, it is really fascinating.
